Soo Line 1003 Christmas Train

On November 10 2007, the SOO Line 1003, A 1913 vintage 2-8-2 (Mikado) Steam Locomotive preserved and operated by 1003 Operations LLP, (http://www.sooline1003.com/) and running on Wisconsin Southern Track, came through Ripon Wisconsin. With a little research we found where they were coming from that early, frosty morning and got many of these pictures from that spot. In fact, after getting within 5 miles or so of the engine, it was pretty evident where is was parked as the warm steam and smoke slowly wafted into the crisp, pale blue sky. It was a pretty neat morning for us. Click here to go to the gallery. All images are Copyright © 2008 by Randal Potratz
