On
November 10 2007, the SOO Line 1003, A 1913 vintage 2-8-2 (Mikado)
Steam Locomotive preserved and operated by 1003 Operations LLP,
(http://www.sooline1003.com/)
and running on Wisconsin
Southern Track, came through Ripon Wisconsin. With a little
research we found where they were coming from that early, frosty
morning and got many of these pictures from that spot. In fact, after
getting within 5 miles or so of the engine, it was pretty evident
where is was parked as the warm steam and smoke slowly wafted into
the crisp, pale blue sky. It was a pretty neat morning for us. Click

from the Sahel Academy service
trip to the city of Tera
in Niger. The girls
portion of the public school in Tera is bursting at the seems with
students. Through contacts with the SIM
missionaries in Tera, students from Sahel Academy came alongside
some of the students from the school
in Tera. During the morning hours of Saturday, March 8, 2008 they
built 2 “hangars” to help ease the over crowding. Click

Pictures
from a visit to the printer repairman. This fellow does all his repairs outside in front of his shop, which is really just a big storage room. The repair area is a few feet from the road and the drifting dust from passing cars! Click

computers for the ministry center there, The ministry center is a vital
part of the ministry there. Many of the kids who come there have never used a
computer before, but are eager not to be left behind technologically.
